Baccarat Play: Ways to Winning Big

Other than just being the game that Ian Fleming used as the backdrop for the first ever book he wrote that featured the now-legendary British spy, James Bond, (switched to poker in the newer vision featuring Daniel Craig) baccarat has always been sought after by casino lovers starting from the beginning of the last century when the game gained notoriety through the Wild West casinos and gaming halls.

Beware:
Many an online and offline entrepreneur promise that the system they have discovered makes money so easily for those who purchase it that they become rich in no time. Don't believe or fall for that crap. They are trying to fool you. Think! If such a system did exist, wouldn't they be playing themselves and making money?

Unlike other card games such as poker and blackjack, baccarat is less a skill game than any of the rest. In addition, because most baccarat tables use more than three of four decks of cards, the likelihood of being able to calculate the outcome is pretty much non-existent.

Here are some basic tactical playing tips:
Baccarat is a simple game to learn but still its not that easy to win at it constantly. But, if you internalize some of the following suggestions, your winnings will increase.

1) Pick the table with the lowest number of decks.
An important detail to remember when playing baccarat is that the odds rise with every additional deck you play with. In other words, pick those tables that are using the least number of decks. The margin is not very high, but enough to make a difference in a long cash game.

2) Place your wagers with the player who's acting as the bank.
Most casinos won't allow you to play all night by betting with the bank, but do this as long as it is allowed. Then, play the minimum amount of rounds they let you and go back to betting on the baccarat banker.

3) Before you sit down, calculate exactly what amount you can lose without causing damage.
This tip refers to any type of wagering you wish to conduct and wherever you wish to do it. Many players tend to stretch the pre-set limit and then lose more than what they could afford. Even while playing this tends to interfere too much with your calculations and then you make mistakes just because you are thinking of the money instead of the cards.

4) Observe the baccarat table.
Never start playing as soon as you enter a casino. Relax. Drink a cold drink. Look around. Then, after picking a baccarat table, stand to the side and observe how the game is being played and how the different players are placing their individual bets. Once you feel relaxed enough and once you are well aware of how each baccarat player bets, take your seat. Remember. Start slow.

5) Learn control.
Even before you pick a table, you must sort out exactly the amount of money you are going to bet with. Set this figure by judging how much cash you can lose without becoming too nervous. If you lose more than you had decided on, quit. Every game you play after you cross that sum will be risky because your mind won't forget that you are wagering with money you cannot afford to lose.

6) Stay away from high-roller baccarat games.
Even though the temptation to make big bucks is great, stay clear of these tables. Not only will you stand the chance to lose all your money in a few rounds, just the thought will remove any enjoyment you would have derived. If possible, stick to the lower betting tables or try Mini baccarat where you can place wager of about twenty-five cents.

Conclusion:
Don't let the rumours about baccarat scare you away from playing this exquisite card game. Its easy to learn, and if you participate without playing rashly, you can make a decent amount of money.
